Program Description:

(60 units total, 30 units in the major) The Computer Information Systems curriculum at Cerro Coso Community College is designed to develop skills which can be used for immediate employment in an increasingly challenging business environment as well as providing a student with the foundation to transfer to a four year institution to continue studies in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or other comparable course of study.

Computer Information Systems Certificate (20 units): is designed for student as beginning certificate for those who intend to transfer to a four-year institution to continue students in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or other comparable courses of study. This certificate also provides students with skills to enter the job market as entry level programmers, help desk providers or computer support specialists.
