Course Description

In this course students are introduced to the subject of philosophy, including its methods, major sub-divisions, and concepts. Topics in metaphysics, ethics, political and social theory, epistemology, identity and existence are considered from the perspective of multiple cultural and historical contents. CAN PHIL 2 (Advisory: Level 1 reading, Level 2 writing.)
