This is an introductory course where students learn basic grammar and
vocabulary for speaking, reading, understanding and writing at the beginning
level as well as learn about the culture and civilization of the
Spanish-speaking world. (Advisory: Level 1 reading and level 1 writing or ENGL C070 with a grade
of "C" or better.) Formerly SPAN C1.
