SOCI C131 Course Information

Course Description

(A/UC/CSU)

This course is an examination of women's roles in the modern world, particularly in the United States, and includes historical, cross-cultural, psychological, sociological and political aspects. The focus of this course is analysis and discussion of gender relations in the home, family and the work place, and the treatment of women in politics, law, the mass media and health care systems. (Prerequisite: None. Advisory: Level 1 Reading, Level 1 Writing.)
