Microeconomics is the study of the choices people make and the actions they take in order to make the best use of scarce resources to fulfill their wants and needs. This course covers the principles of microeconomics, which is the study of how we apply the economic way of thinking to help you understand how markets allocate resources to where they are most wanted; why prices and wages rise and fall; why businesses start up and fold under; why some goods or services seem "too abundant" while others seem "too scarce"; and how governments can affect the provision and prices of goods, services, and resources.
