CSCI C101 Course Information

Course Description

(A/UC/CSU)

This survey class introduces the learner to uses of computers in business and society through exploration of hardware, software, file management, networks, digital media, the Internet, web page creation and business software. Context and issues related to the computer industry as well as information systems and design are presented. Group projects include writing and presenting on a relevant topic utilizing business software and research skills developed in class. (Prerequisite: None.) Advisory: CSCI C070, Level 2 reading, level 2 writing classification recommended. Formerly CSCI C2.
