CHDV C205 Course Information

Course Description

(A/CSU)

This course will include a study of growth and development from conception to age 2 through an understanding of biology and environment on development. Emphasis will be placed on the appreciation of the interrelatedness of theory, research, and applications. This course will include research and evidence from field experience with children in a wide variety of environments. (Prerequisite: None.) Advisory: Level 1 Reading, Level 1 Writing. Special Online Requirements: Students will work with a childcare provider from the field, either a licensed childcare center or family home day care. Verification will be obtained in writing, to be mailed to the instructor, along with a written report, or case study, used to evaluate this portion of the course.
