An introduction to the analysis and interpretation of Latin American
literature. Students read a variety of works from the colonial era to the
popular authors of the recent "boom" period and beyond. Readings may vary
from semester to semester but could include novels, short stories, plays
and/or poetry. This course is taught primarily in Spanish and all readings
are in Spanish. (Prerequisite: Level 1 reading, level 1 writing, SPAN C202
or equivalent).
