Hispanic Culture Through Film

(A/UC/CSU)

 

3 Units, 54 hours lecture

This class will study Hispanic civilizations and culture through films, videos and documents. There will be analysis, discussion, and written critique of selected films from Spain and Latin America. The emphasis is on the cultural information illustrated by the films. Films are subtitled, no knowledge of Spanish is required. (Prerequisite: Level 1 reading, level 2 writing classification recommended) Formerly SPAN C8.
