This course is a continuation of the introduction to the Spanish language
presented in Spanish C101. Students will continue to focus on the grammar
and vocabulary necessary for speaking, reading, understanding and writing at
the high-beginner level as well as learning about the culture and
civilization of the Spanish-speaking world. The emphasis of the course is on
communication and preparation for advanced reading and composition skills.
All of the major grammatical concepts of Spanish will have been covered by
the end of this course including most of the verb tenses. (Prerequisite: SPAN 101 with a grade of "C" or better,
or appropriate placement on the college-level Spanish placement exam, or two
years of high school Spanish or equivalent. Level I reading and level 2
