Introduction to Sociology

(A/UC/CSU)

 

3 Units, 54 hours lecture

Concepts and research findings of contemporary sociology; understanding human groups, such as the family, the play group, the work group, social class, institutions, mass behavior and culture. Discussion is centered around the effects of social change in an industrial society. CAN SOCI 2 (Prerequisite: Level 1 reading, level 2 writing classification recommended.) Formerly SOCI C1.
