Music Appreciation

(A/UC/CSU)

 

3 Units, 54 hours lecture

Understanding music as a listener. Study of ingredients found in music (melody, harmony, rhythm and form, etc.), choral and instrumental mediums (oratorios, symphonies, etc.), and the various styles and historical periods of music. Some concert attendance is required. (Prerequisite: Level 1 reading, level 2 writing classification recommended.) Formerly MUSC C22.
