Welcome to Cerro Coso Online. Cerro Coso Community College is a member
college of the Kern Community College District and is fully accredited by
the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and approved by the
University of California and the State Department of Education.
CC Online is the online "campus" of Cerro Coso Community College. Our goal
at CC Online is to provide you with everything that you need to complete
your Associate Degree. From our virtual campus you can access courses,
learning resources and the library, student services including admissions
and records and financial aid, counseling, etc.
The learning environment at Cerro Coso Online is somewhat different than
many other virtual colleges. At Cerro Coso Online we offer the following
differences:
9 Online Associate Degrees. All courses required for the 9
degrees that we offer our degrees are, or will be, available completely
online. Click here for more information.
No On-Campus Meetings. We do not require any on-campus
meetings; some courses may require proctored exams but, other than that,
all coursework is done online
No Self-Paced Courses. We do not offer self-paced courses; all
of our courses follow a schedule similar to a traditional face-to-face
course. You will be expected to access your course, interact with your
classmates and instructors, and complete assignments on a well-defined
schedule.
Highly Interactive Courses. Our courses require that you
interact with your classmates and instructor. Although your fellow
classmates or instructor may be located thousands of miles away from you,
you won't feel isolated!
